Virtual Private Server (VPS) Hosting- A single physical server is partitioned into multiple servers, each independent of each other in terms of resources and operating system. This ensures that each user is not affected by how much resources the other users are consuming, giving him complete and independent control over his server environment as in a dedicated hosting. However, most of the web hosts provide a lot less in terms of actual allocated resources than what is offered in their advertisements, in the hopes that the user will never utilize the virtual server at peak capacity.
